Millennium Kingdom Thinking – Part 6

Will we be able to thinking better and smarter in the Millennium Kingdom?

As believers thinking about our resurrected body, we don’t spend much time thinking about how different our thinking will be. We can understand some of the characteristics of a resurrected body as compared to the earthly body we inhabit now. Knowing our resurrected body will be like that of Jesus Christ when He appeared to the disciples in the upper room (Lk 24), we understanding that we will have arms, legs, have each of our senses intact as well as the memories of our life before we died. This is understandable because we have passages in the Bible that point out specific instances where Jesus Christ, after His resurrection, interacted with people before His assession.

But what about the way we think, how will that be changed?

One of the biggest changes that will occur is the elimination of the sin nature within us and all that comes along with it. Trying to describe our life without our sin nature would be like trying to not to think about a pink elephant! Most every time we see something or hear something we demonstrate the evidence of our sin nature.
Some of the characteristics of living a life with our sin nature will be (Mk 7:20-23, Gal 5:19-21)
– No driving need to compare ourselves with others to gain an advantage over them
– No feeling and thoughts of rejection from Jesus Christ, The Father, The Holy Spirit and others
– No drive to say and do things that will make us important in the eyes of others
– No rebellious tendencies towards those that are in authority over us
– No envy or jealousy
– No sense of being guilty or Unforgiven

So what will it be like to without the millstone of our sin nature? I believe that the capstone of our thinking will be summarized in our love for Jesus Christ. We will experience such a great love for Him and for everyone we meet and know in heaven and those on earth. The result of that love and understanding will produce in us a sense of being totally accepted and loved by Jesus Christ. Our earthly body could not contain the expression of His love for us so part of the reason for a resurrected body will be to enable us to receive ALL the love He has for us.

Scientists have reported that we only use a small percentage of the brain God has given us. Brain specialists are discovering that our brains contain knowledge, skills and memories that we don’t perceive but still are within us. Why would God give us a brain yet only allow us to use a mere 10% of it if? Could it be that in our resurrected bodies God will enable us to use 100% of what He has created and placed within us?

Savants, though struggling with physical and physiological issues, have incredible abilities to perform mathematical, musical, artistic and mental achievements that astound the ordinary person. Could it be that in our resurrected body and in the role of ruling with Jesus Christ in the millennium kingdom, that God will awaken the other 90% of our brain functions?  Maybe this would be God’s way of enabling us to perform that leadership tasks that He will assign to each of us.

Will we be thinking different and will God expand our minds to know His width, length, depth and height?  I believe He will.  God will change us in ways we can’t comprehend so we can continue to worship Him in each our Millennium Kingdom assignments.
